The herbs you grow yourself and the herbs you buy at a supermarket are not the same ingredient. This sounds like an exaggeration until you taste it. A handful of basil picked that morning, still warm from the sun, has a fragrance and a depth that wilted supermarket basil simply cannot replicate.

You will find that many of my recipes include herbs. Sometimes as a simple garnish, but many times as the main ingredient. The recipes below are great for preserving the harvest, or if you simply bought too many bunches at the grocery store.
